Compressed gas dryers are mainly divided into two types: refrigerated dryers and adsorption dryers. The refrigerated dryer has the advantages of no air loss and low energy consumption, but it is limited by a high dew point temperature; while the adsorption dryer has the advantage of a low dew point, it has the disadvantages of large regeneration air consumption and high energy consumption. The combined low dew point compressed gas dryer developed by our company is an organic combination of refrigeration drying technology and adsorption drying technology. It breaks through the simple series connection of ordinary refrigeration and adsorption devices. Through reasonable pipeline connection and capacity matching, it maximizes the advantages of both, thereby achieving the best economic operation point and high-quality low-dew-point finished gas.

Working Principle

The high-temperature and high-humidity compressed air from the air compressor first passes through a heat exchanger, where it exchanges heat with the already dried and cooled compressed air, thus lowering its temperature. It then enters the evaporator, where it is further cooled to about 2°C. At this pressure dew point, most of the water vapor condenses into liquid water and is discharged. Afterward, the compressed air with a very low moisture content enters the adsorption tower for further drying and dehumidification, producing finished air with a much lower dew point. Finally, the low-temperature dried compressed air enters the heat exchanger, cooling the incoming high-temperature, high-humidity air while its own temperature rises. This prevents condensation on the external surface of the conveying pipeline. A small portion of the warmed compressed air is used for adsorbent regeneration, improving regeneration efficiency and reducing energy consumption. Its unique "low-temperature adsorption and normal-temperature regeneration" working principle ensures a significant reduction in regeneration air consumption and dew point.
