After aerodynamic equipment intakes air containing dust, it can cause equipment wear. The inhaled dust will accumulate on the surfaces of the fan blades, reducing the dynamic balance accuracy of the rotor and significantly shortening its service life. Harmful chemical components in the dust can cause rust and corrosion to the equipment. Therefore, aerodynamic equipment must be equipped with high-precision air filters.

The ZKL series self-cleaning air filter has been improved and perfected based on similar domestic and international products and has now reached a leading international standard.

Application Range

  1. Various types of air compression stations across industries; multiple small-capacity compressors can be used together, while large-capacity units are paired one-to-one.
  2. Raw air compressors for oxygen production stations.
  3. Blast furnaces blowers in steel mills.
  4. Gas turbines of various capacities.
  5. Diesel engines requiring long continuous operation.
  6. Air conditioning and air supply systems in the chemical fiber and textile industries.
  7. Centralized air conditioning systems with high requirements for air dust content.

Product Advantages and Features

  1. This product can be equipped, according to user requirements, with a dust collection hopper, dust screen, or water-wash dust removal to prevent secondary pollution.
  2. The equipment is controlled by an intelligent distributor, with three self-cleaning modes: (1) timed, (2) differential pressure, (3) manual.
  3. The equipment allows automatic cleaning of air filter elements while keeping other filter elements operational without interruption.
  4. Can operate normally under 100% relative humidity conditions.
  5. Large filtration area, low air velocity, minimal pressure drop, with LCD display for pressure loss.
  6. Long service life of filter elements; under normal environmental conditions, replacement cycle can reach approximately 2 years.
  7. High degree of automation; main components use imported parts, enabling unattended operation.
  8. Low back-blow air consumption, typically 0.1–0.3 m³/min (suction state); pressure 0.4–0.6 MPa.
  9. Lightweight, only 1/3 to 1/2 the weight of a bag-type filter of the same capacity.
  10. Reasonable design with no-bend piping, modular high-layer block assembly, easy and fast installation.
  11. For special requirements, non-standard designs can be made according to customer needs.

2. Filtration Process

Dust-laden air is drawn in by the air compressor through the primary coarse filter box (①). It then passes through the high-efficiency filter cartridge (②), where dust is captured by a combination of gravity, inertia, diffusion, and contact retention. Clean air passes through the sealing gasket (③) into the Venturi tube (④), then enters the clean air chamber (⑤), converges at the air collection port (⑥), and is finally drawn into the air compressor through the clean air outlet pipe (⑦).

3. Self-Cleaning Process

After filtration, dust is captured on the high-efficiency filter cartridge. The PLC initiates the back-blow self-cleaning process according to the preset timing sequence. When the pressure drop exceeds 500 Pa, the PLC controls the back-blow cleaning based on the differential pressure sequence (back-blow duration: 0.1–0.2 seconds). Other high-efficiency filter cartridges continue operating normally, while the dust is removed by the back-blow cleaning.
