To select a dryer correctly, five factors must be considered simultaneously: the actual flow rate, pressure, and temperature of the compressed gas, as well as the ambient temperature and the required pressure dew point temperature. The dryer handling capacity is calculated by the formula: Qs = Qa ÷ C1 ÷ C2 ÷ C3, where Qa in the formula refers to the actual flow rate of the compressed gas.
Example: The inlet air pressure of the refrigerated dryer is 0.7 Mpa, the inlet air temperature is 40°C, the ambient temperature is 40°C, and the actual flow rate Qa of the compressed air is 10 m³/min. Refer to the table below: C1 = 0.81, C2 = 1, C3 = 1. It is calculated that Qs = 12.3, so the specification XS-12A is the most suitable choice.

When the pressure at the air outlet of the refrigerated air dryer is 0.7 MPa, the pressure dew point ranges from 2 to 10°C, which is equivalent to an atmospheric pressure dew point of -23 to -16°C. At this time, the moisture content is approximately 0.82 to 1.48 g/m³.
When the inlet air temperature is 40°C, the outlet air temperature of the refrigerated air dryer is around 22-26°C, which is equivalent to a relative humidity of 4-7% for air at 20°C under atmospheric pressure.
